We did it! We all survived the summer months when the caravan parks and our favourite camping spots were full of families and brimming with activity, and now it is time to put things in cruise control (at least until the Easter Long Weekend), and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness which has descended upon many of our favourite caravanning destinations.

I traveled to Maryborough Queensland in the Euro Glider where I stayed for 4 nights beside the Mary River.
I stayed at a small caravan park called The Wharf ,71 Wharf St. Maryborough. QLD It is beside the Mary River Marina (mobile: 0427 233 081). It takes about 10 vans and is one of the best kept secrets of all the caravans and free camp sites I have stayed in in my 11 yrs of travelling Australia.
I found it in the Camps Australia Wide 9 book. It was $27.50 a night with electricity, water, & well maintained toilets & showers. There were 25 yachts moored at the Marina, all beside two restaurants with live music each night. It was such a beautify setting. I felt at peace with the world despite the humid conditions.
Such a find! One block east of the CBD in Maryborough.
